I honestly cannot remember the last time I blogged, so to recap my final exams :
Biology - it was good but I finished 40 minutes early so hopefully thats a good thing?
Legal - It was so annoying studying for it because I didn't know topic one wasn't going to be assessed...zzz...but when I flipped through the paper I knew everything - thank god - and I almost missed one question because it was at the bottom of a page but the lines were on the next and I didn't see so I continued the previous question on those lines. Luckily I decided to write my name on each of the pages at the bottom and saw the question. thanks fate!
Anyway, after yearlies were over, I had barely any time to celebrate because I was off to camp! YAYAYAYAYA :) The night before - so tuesday night - me, solcheatta, michelle and jessica v. were crazy whatsapping asking to bring stuff like powerboards and if we were bringing hats and stuff. On that morning we had to be at school by 7:45 and we were lined up for ages while they marked the rolls...so what did we do? What any normal high school kids would do...take some snaps! :)
Oh wow, the photos look so cool all lined up with the fish eye lens! :) we're normal I swear! Anyway, we got onto the bus last - zzz- because we were group 10 but it didn't really matter because me, mary, tramanh and cindy were on the same bus. On the way Me and Mary just talked about everything. We were SUPPOSED to sleep because we were both extremely tired...but clearly that didn't happen LOL!
When we got there we had to wait around a bit so the girls decided to try and throw and catch a tennis ball with their shirts...sadly I donut have photos of them but it was sooooo funny. Later we were greeted by the leaders/instructors and some of them were smokin' ;) We played a game of tug-o-war - is that even how you spell it?! - and group 10 won...surprisingly...actually its not so surprising because of my huge ass muscles. (H). We were then allowed to settle into our cabins and then we were ushered into the hall were we played a team building game. Basically there are four of you and you sit on 4 chairs, then you all lean on each other and try and hold the others up. I know thats realllllly dodgy explaining so here are a few pics!
anyhoos. after that we were split into our respective groups and started our camp activities. Sadly group 10 started with the Drugs and Relationship Seminar - which later we realised was good because then it was just fun activities till the end. dude. that seminar was so....I wan't to say informative - which it was - but some bits were so disgusting, like I wanted to vomit. Gonna stay a virgin forevz after seeing some of those photos. *shudders* But moving on...after that we had the giant swing. basically you're pulled by your group 20m above the ground and then the instructor yells 3, 2, 1 and you pull a string...when I got up there, it wasn't too scary...but I couldn't hear her...sooo like it was like 3, 2, 1.......
.....
DO I PULL IT?!
HAHA
Cindy has a video somewhere and I'll try and get it up here for you guys, but in the mean time, here are the photos :) note the camel toes from the harnesses - come @ us boysssss
man we are cute. that night we had trivia night and games. the trivia was funny because the first round we were like mehh but when the table next to us marked our answers they were laughing at us I'm sorry general/trivia knowledge basically means sports. Asians do not know sports. The first question was like who is the captain of the nsw origin team and which club does he come from...we looked at each other...and just put a dash. We legit had no idea. HAHA. The games were really fun. We played a game where the person has to go up to someone and say 'honey if you love me laugh' and they have to make the person laugh...I wished vy got a turn so she could do it for ricky HAHAHA. :( We also played King Caracticus ....or however you spell it and me and tramanh were just going for gold and yelling as loud as we could HAHA. best moment when we were like 3 and line 6 were challenged and tramanh went to yell out. good girl! :)
The next day we had high ropes, alpine rescue, vertical playpen and canoeing. This was legit the best day. By the end everyone was encouraging each other and everyone had faced their fears.
Negatives : Dean was an ass. Simple as that. So Carlos was scared of heights and all the girls were encouraging him cos we cute and then Dean was like oh I bet he was faking it to get all the attention. CAN YOU NOT ?!??!?!?! :@
That night we had talent quest and disco. I could barely keep awake but congrats to Lindy and Ricky for coming first and second respectively, you were both amazing, and to all performers except dean, you guys had guts to get up there, something I didn't do ehehe :) The disco was meh, like the music was soo crap :( Only ever 6th-7th song was dance-able to and even then after 30 seconds it changed. sighhhhs. got vy to dance with ricky though HAHA...even though later her and lam cc me and ricky. sighhhs. That photo (you'll see it below) posed a lot of questions for my sister. *cue awkz conversation.
It was sad to leave but I was so ready for home. All in all it was a great camp filled with many good memories. My favourite was the first night, everyone in our cabin was farting HAHAHA even boi! and in the morning Jessica let a loud one rip right in mary's face HAHAHA :)
I leave this post with the various photos we took, I hope you guys at school enjoyed yourselves and made as many good memories and new friends as I did. :)
Stay memorable and remember life is what you make it.
xx
Sorry for the recent lack of posts. For some reason everything has piled up and on top of that all I've been doing is writing notes for yearlies. Thankfully I've done almost all my chem and bio notes, so after those everything should be written fairly quickly :)
This week as been as week of tears I'm afraid. I was confronted by Thwaites about dropping music...which ended in tears. Its not so much that he was yelling and/or was really scary but when he talks, he confuses me, which stresses me out which finally leads to tears. I remember walking up to boi and the group after and when I tried to say to boi I talked to Thwaites, another wave of tears came so it sounded like squealing coupled with sobbing and trying not to let my boogers drip...which isn't the greatest sound. I'm definitely definitely DEFINITELY dropping it now...and picking up extension 2...yay? haha This morning me and my sister had a mini dnm, which I won't get into too much, but it resulted in my crying almost first thing in the morning :( My eyes stung for the rest of the day.
Anyway, on Friday night was Mariel's schools variety night which was basically like a talent quest. I was sooo nervous about going, mainly because Christine wasn't going so I'd be hanging around all the HAHS kids and lets face it...I'm shy :( When I got there, Mariel met me on the road and we were just talking about who was there. I found out that Luke and Kyleen were there - thank god - and so was avi. I must admit, I was on the fence about how I felt. I was still conflicted, not knowing whether I had it in my heart to forgive, or the strength to forget. No doubt the opportunity presented itself whether I liked it or not. I was greet by Ky with a tackle hug - I've missed that girl so much and it was fantastic to see her again! I was then talking to Mariel in which she said oh go say hi to my parents and then I was like in a sec and then she said wait and I said okay lets go and we walked off and she was like dude avi was there and I said yeah I know, he has to come talk to ME first and she said yeah thats what he was doing ...but I didn't know :( SOO I looked/felt like a total bitch. :( Anyway I said hi to her parents and then ky comes up to me and said avi was going to talk to me...but I walked away and I told her I knew and felt bad...to which avi comes up and asks to talk to me. I definitely pictured this moment a lot different in my head. I thought my heart would be beating a kajillion times per second, my palms would sweat, I wouldn't be able to speak - for those who truly know me, I thought my ears would turn tomato red - and I thought there would be tears. Surprisingly there was none of that. Listening to him apologise was what I wanted. I had finally gotten the apology I was waiting for for the last 9-ish months. In the end, I realised, there wasn't much to forgive because I was over it. I didn't cry, I wasn't angry...I was...nothing really. I told him there was nothing to stress about to which he replied that there can't just be nothing. I think with this type of situation, the friendship just needs time to grow again and if it can get as strong as it was before, it'd definitely be a plus in my life.
Anyway, variety night was very good. It consisted of lame jokes from the MC's, some great musical performances, and Mariel's groups awesome dance. I must admit I wanted to get up and dance too...but I'd probably get booed off the stage :( All in all, it was a great night and it was fantastic to see Luke and ky again.
On Saturday, me , cindy and branda went to the UTS/USYD open days. Maz was going to meet us in the city..and BAM luke came along - yay! It was awesome spending more time with him and the girls. I think I found what I want to do too, nutrition and dietetics. YAY for having direction in life :)
Today we had our music recital where we'd get marked on our performances for our yearly marks. I was so happy when I realised this would be the last ever time I'd be playing because I'd be dropping music YAYAYAYYAYAYAYA. Funnily enough, with the weight lifted off I played it really good no big head or anything okay?!. Except for some reason, in one bit, I forgot the chord...which I had never done before...which lead to my eventual break down. But I picked it up and ended okay! :) Everyone else was amazing! I wish I had photos :(
SO to end this extremely long post,
I hope you all have a carefree week and remember you can go the distance!

hope schools treating you well! Personally, everyday feels like death. Today we had a chem prac exam...I think it's safe to say I am not ranked 1 anymore :( sadlyf. 8 & 1/2 minutes to go a gravimetric analysis is just not long enough, I mean when we did it in class we took like 2 periods...literally :( The only good thing about the prac exam is after. Me, Daniel, Karen, Kenneth, Janne, Tiffany and Sophie chill-banged in the senior learning centre and went off on many tangents hehe. The rest of the chem class was either in the library or doing their exam. I really want to know how everybody went but from what I hear they're on the same boat as me. :/
Okay travelling back in time, on Saturday night me and my sister - selina - had a movie night :) We were going to go watch The Dark Knight Rises ...or the batman movie but we don't really like batman...we're more of a marvel than a dc family. what can I say...thor > everyone AHHAHA ..or is it just Chris Hemsworth? (L)___(L). Instead we watched Crazy, Stupid Love and we binged in a whole crap load of junk. There was popcorn, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, lemon ice tea, chocolate milk, cheddar cheese rice crackers, chicken jumpys and choc chip tiny teddies :9 :9. It was such an awesome night we plan to do it once a month ehehe :)
As much as I hate to admit it, I am highly addicted to caffeine. Today we ran out of milk in the morning so I didn't have a cup of tea and I had a raging headache throughout the day. When I got home I couldn't take it anymore and I had tea without milk...and now its gone. Coincidence? I think not. :( :( It not funny how addicted I am. Hey, my names melanie, and I'm a caffeine addict.
I got my maths topic test for linear equations and got 30/36 YAYAYAYA :) That's so much better than what I expected...and Cindy only beat me by 3 marks so YAYERRR (A)
Anyway,
Stay addicted and remember read your questions in prac examssss zzzz.

hope you're weekend was a great one and you're all looking forward to an excited week ahead. Personally, I'm dreading school. Last week felt like the longest week of my life. Even though we only had 4 days of school it felt like the week was never going to end. After the first maybe hour of school I had begun to feel that all to familiar regret you get when you don't do the required work and thus you must scramble to the library during recess/lunch desperately trying to make up some bs that resembles some sort of sense...story of my freakin' life.
My most stressful catch up was by far my extension composition drafts. We were supposed to have done 2 - due first day back...at 7:30 - I had 0 done. ehehehe oops (A). Perhaps the worst subject at the moment is music...again :( Just when I thought we'd do a crap load of prac...we're doing freakin composition. Thwaites spent a triple period teaching about garage band or something which is an app we need to record our comps on. Like teach us fine...don't take our triple. Its like he has no idea how short my attention span is. Although a subject which is looking up is advanced. We got our Emma essays back and I got 13/15 :D :D :D, joint 1st with karen and fiona :) I was so incredibly happy I wanted to die ...so then at least I'd die happy :). Pretty great mark for not having read the book no? Speaking of reading, Les Miserables is going okay-ish. Not much is happening right now; given I've only read like...7 chapters...out of 365. Shoot me. Oh and I realised the copy I have is only half the actual book- I have volume one.
Okay I'll admit, blogging now is to procrastinate doing my ext essay which is probably something I should be doing given how shit my composition was. shoot me now.
I promise a more interesting post next time!
Til anon'

Hope you're all looking forward to the long weekend- I know I am. I am SOOO over school it is not funny.
Well the drama that swept across the weekend and onto the beginning of the week has finally stopped and school seems to be returning back to the norm. I can't say people weren't affected though- and those scars may take a long time to heal.
If there's one thing I cannot stand is rude people; especially when you're trying to help them and they're just plain rude. If I offer my shoulder and my sympathies and in return they meet me with anger and...rudeness, I often stop and stop caring. It's like if I try to help someone and take time out of my spare time to help them...and they don't try. ITS SOO FRUSTRATING.
In other news, Me and Cindy have moved up a maths class. :) We've finally left Nguyen and joined Maks. It was weird, we entered a room...it was like being in a zoo. All eyes on us. We now sit in like the back corner like a couple of loners HAHAHA. We're not used to everyone being so loud and a teacher who cracks such lame jokes. Like his jersey says "1/cos(c)" When I realised what it meant...I was embarrassed. Its gonna take a while to get used to all the noise. :( I miss branda and jess :( At least I still have Cindy to annoy...right? Anyway, enough procrastination,
I promise a better post next time!
stay cray-cray and remember if the government could get just into the kitchen, rearrange some things, we could certainly party with the Haitians.
xx
Well week one...technically two of school is finally over.
Assignment count: 2
Totally regret choosing Chem and Legal now :( I swear in chem I have random bursts of knowing a lot of things and then suddenly having no idea whats going on. Hmm. Need to find a chem tutor that ISN'T my sister.
Maths has been okay. The first chapter Basic Arithmetic is as easy as it sounds. Except for one question in absolute value but whatever. Mr Nguyen almost made it through a whole three days without pissing me off. He calls himself a teacher. tuh.
Oh and Thwaites is trying to get us to join some blog-type-tumblr site thing for bookmarking stuff and he's like oh you can do a page for each of your subjects and people can follow you, why would anyone want to follow my links to sites about biology, chemistry and/or legal studies?
Otherwise its been a very interesting week. Fahrenheit 451, The Trial and The Hunger Games has finally made its way to the library and into my house. I started reading Fahrenheit 451 but its lagging a bit and like Nineteen Eighty-Four it took me a while to adjust to the crazy voodoo world its set in. But its bound to get better :)
Extension has officially been scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:40 :( Totally regret choosing it. But hopefully I'll do really good and beat everybody >:D ehehe.
I'm so excited for dancing tomorrow! Even though Kaylas off visiting her boyfy in England, it'll still be amazing to see Christine and Mariel :) I've already
Well this weekend proves to be almost homework free which is great but I hope I get to briefly talk to Kyleen soon! I feel that I have so many things to tell her :L
I leave you with the song thats now playing constantly in my mind...even though its old, enjoy lovelies

and my boots tied tight.
Best non-song ever. I feel like watching Billy Madison now. good one mel. especially because I'm supposed to be becoming studious and motivated to work. double good one mel.
Anyway, school started yesterday and I'm already missing holidays :( The schools in such a mess at the moment because the demountables aren't really open yet, well they are, we're just not allowed to have our roll call in them. Good one
I'm not excited about starting Ext English, mainly because I didn't touch the books we were supposed to read :/ Then again, no one except James did so it's okay. Hopefully my teacher won't eat me too much...only an arm?...if I'm lucky.
My studious endeavours are actually on track at the moment. I've finished all my homework plus I did an extra exercise in maths because there needs to be a new Youtry in my maths class and I could gladly fill that role if it means crushing him to a tiny pulp. I'm not violent at all.
For those awesome people who watched the tennis mens final, I'm so sad Nadal lost :( I love him. I swear I thought he was going to cry D: I thought he was going to win the last set. D: D: D: D: D: D: It's been a very hard few days for me :( eheheh jokes but still. He has to win the French Open or I'll be so upset. He's the 'King of Clay' so hopefully it'll be all goot. PLUS I've decided I'm going to watch the semi-finals and finals of all of the grand slams. That means waking up very early. But thats okay, as long as I get to see Nadal win...or basically anyone besides Djokovic. I dislike him now that he won the Australian open. ehehehe so much hate.
ALSO, I have been informed by various of my guy friends one of two things:
1) I like long hair more than short hair
2) Long hair suits you better.
Thanks guys. why didn't you tell me any of this when I was asking you last year if I should cut my hair :@ :@ :@. Well I like my short hair. I just have no idea how I'm going to tie it up for dancing. good one mel.
Anyway thats all for now. Schools back so I'll probably have a bit more to complain about...or maybe I'll brag about my success. We'll see how we go.
xx
