What is good, what is evil, and who gets to decide which is which?

Religion. It has become such a large part of our identities. Separating society into groups based on who they believe in, what they believe in, and those practises they carry out to show their faith. Are any of them better than the other? More believable perhaps? Definitely not. On that note, it is definitely not right to try and 'convert' people if you will. Much like someone wouldn't force their vegetarian friend to eat meat, nor should anybody try and change someone else's beliefs.
I think in today's society, religion shouldn't be something that dictates our lives, that is, who we are friends with, who we date, who we can't date, who is 'bad' and who is 'good'. The world is an ever changing place and so are the people in it. The laws of some religions date back to...well before official time was recorded. When we allow religion to dictate our lives, we are not ourselves anymore. Yes, believe what you want to believe, pray, have faith and hope. But when religion becomes a reason for you to do something that you want to do, that is when you're letting it go too far. We are taught the concept of tolerance at a very early age. Accepting people for who they are, not trying to change them. I believe it is extremely ignorant for someone to try and change another's beliefs.

Disagree if you will.
